Can I have more than one account at my IP?

I remember reading a while back that Nexus Mods has to approve the use of multiple accounts at any given IP address, because otherwise people could do things such as download mods that they've been banned from or distort the feedback of a comment section.

 

So my question is, may I have 2 accounts at my IP? I'd like to become a mod author and I want a new account with no history and a different name before I upload mods. I would continue to use this account for downloading mods and chatting on forums, and the new account would be specifically for uploading mods.

Two accounts at one IP address is for multiple people in the same household.

 

The rules specifically prohibit two accounts for the same person.

If you plan on creating a new account in order to be a mod author, them you'll have to close your existing one. Pointless really unless you want to use a different username going onward.
