Ego Weapon System?

I know its taken from mabinogi but the idea seems really good and can fit into oblivion well enough, the only thing is to see if it is possible to do this.

 

The idea is that you can be able to enchant a weapon of choice with a spirit or "Ego" and the weapon itself because special (undroppable, untradable) and has it's own stats. The weapon grows upon use and has several features (like in mabinogi).

 

Pros:

- Able to wield strong weaponry after training with it for a long time.

- A plot to go with the feature?

 

Cons:

- May be hard to script in or Oblivion doesn't support modifying weapon stats in game.

 

And I doubt I can script this myself since I don't spend so much time on oblivion, nor the editor.

This is a great idea. Specificaly for those poeple who dont want to spend hours on end finding the "Ultimate Weapon". Not to menchion i gives lower levels better weapons to use instand of the crappy iron and steel ones.

Try Malevolent, too, you don't get a weapon but it's got a quest with a powerful magic item who is personified or something like that. (it's after main quest, so I haven't played it yet.)
