Daedric Ore in a Plain of Oblivion?

While watching a random mod review on YouTube I was struck with an epiphany! I never liked Ebony armor and weapons very much (though I use them to get rich when dumped by Draugr Deathlords) and I would mainly use them for Daedric Smithing. Also, Ebony Ore is pretty rare unless you want to go out of your way to smith it or buy it and get ripped-off, or wait for it to respawn in certain places. Needless to say, it's a hassle to get Ebony Ore at least for me and I couldn't be bothered to spend my hard-earned Septims on some minerals.

Also, I felt that Daedric Armor and Weapons deserve their own ore since nearly every armor/weapons menu in the smithing section has its own ore/ingots. So why not make a new type of ore called Daedric Ore that would replace Ebony Ore only in the Daedric Smithing Section? But there's a catch! Daedric Ore would only be found in a Plain of Oblivion that can be accessed through a portal somewhere.

Of course, it is guarded by powerful Dremora and Daedra which would also be a good way to obtain Daedric Hearts. However, to make it balanced so you can't use it as a cheat, Daedric Ore and Hearts and possible armor/weapons are worthless to any merchant in Skyrim. Almost all civilians (and merchants) hate the Daedra in the vanilla game and don't trust them so why the heck would they sell and buy their stuff? It doesn't make sense since some don't even believe they exist and definitely don't worship them.

The only people I see dabbling in Daedric merchandise would be that girl from the Thieves Guild, a Dark Brotherhood merchant (make a new one perhaps after the Main Quest for the DB?), and the conjuration Merchant in the College of Winterhold. So to make it balanced you could have those guys buy and sell Daedric stuff even at the start of a game. Any thoughts on this?

You could make the plain of Oblivion (or even plains if you like) filled with lava and ash like in Solstheim (in the Dragonborn DLC) to make it lore-friendly and badass. I know this isn't everyone's cup of tea but I thought it would be cool for Daedric gear to have its own ingots and ore since it deserves it. Dragon armor has its own bones and scales so why not Daedric too? Well, this was just a thought and I'd love to see your feedback on this idea. If you make this into a mod I would download it and try it out ASAP!! :)

Many thanks in advance!!!

Hmm, might have to have to be a custom plain of Oblivion as although the Soul Cairn (Dawnguard) is perhaps the best choice, it would sorta not fit the Daedric armor as that is (to me) fire and brimstone whsit the Soul Cairn is all ghosty, Necro/Vampire feel.

Apocrypha (Hermaeus Mora's realm) is mostly oily, fishy and squidy with no discernible land masses or rocks...

Daedric Armor is made of Ebony...

I know Daedric ARmor is made of Ebony but that's the point! Ebony is rare and hard to obtain unless you want to waste your hard earned cash. So I want to make an alternate way to get it through Plains of Oblivion and a new kind of ore. To spice things up for long-time players!

Cool idea. Perhaps it could be worked into this mod: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/21256//?

That actually partially sparked the idea! However I wasn't sure if I wanted to do the Oblivion Crisis all over again and plus, it doesn't have the same special effects or sense of doom it had in the previous game - Oblivion. Although maybe I'm wrong and I probably am so off I go to check out said mod!! :)
