ArmlessWunder
Hello all, I am having an issue where I create an NPC in GECK and set their race to say, AfricanAmerican and the NPC looks African American in the GECK, but when I see the NPC in game, they appear Caucasian... Not sure what manner of nonsense this is, but any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
madmongo
Make sure that you have this line and that the value is set to 1 in your Fallout.ini file in My Documents, and also in FalloutPrefs.ini in your FNV folder: bLoadFaceGenHeadEGTFiles=1 Also, make sure you define NPCs in esm files and not in esp files. ArmlessWunder
Thanks, that works! On another note, NV Geck is such a painful experience compared to Oblivion CS. I'm glad I started with the easier one first, bc I may have been discouraged entirely if I had started with this buggy mess lol
sullyvanj93
Are you using Geck Extender? It's still the same base program, so it's not a cure all. But it is vastly easier to work with and has a lot of fixes that really should have been in the initial release. And if there is an issue, it'll give you a report of what it was that was causing the issue.
madmongo
I have often said that the GECK is really a secret Vault-Tec experiment designed to test modder's frustration levels. The GECK extender helps but even with that it's still the GECK.
ArmlessWunder
Lmao, I could see that. I actually haven't tried the geck extender yet bc I didn't have a good experience with the tes4 cs extender, but seeing how the geck is now, I think I'll give it a shot.
