Talon Company keeps on crashing my game!

My game keeps on crashing whenever I meet or come face to face with the Talon Company Mercs. I've done the multicore crash fix, the stutter remover, and windowed mode and am running mods like FWE and MMM that would usually effect the Talon Company leveling lists. It seems that I always run into problems with this game no matter how hard I tweak it. . .

There's a known bug with FWE and the Talon company loot lists, but that shouldn't affect you until you're looting the corpses.

Two questions:

1). (A perennial favorite:) WHAT'S YOUR LOAD ORDER!?!. Without knowing what's running, it's almost impossible to diagnose a problem.

2). Have you looked at the Talon Company (NPCs, armor and weapons) with FO3 Edit? Just seeing what is modifying the assets used will usually point you towards the problem.

Just on a run through, I had a major problem with the Crowded Cities mod and ended up having to drop it from my game. IIRC, it does modify the Talon Company, so that might be a good place to start looking.

You should only use one Crowded Cities, not both. Also, move WeaponModKits - FWE Master Release.esp=1 so that it is below the DLC patches. That way they won't overwrite the FWE patch.

Thanks for the suggestions! I'll try it out to see if it works. BTW, it only crashes whenever i meet the Talons in random encounters only, when raiding their base next to the sewer waystation combat went normally for me ( I died).

They're still crashing the game :dry: But I notice whenever I go full auto on my assault rifle it usually crashes, so maybe thats the problem? (Check out my load order).

Try disabling any mods that modify weapons. (like WMK and RH ironsights)

 

If that works, try putting their respective compatibility patches all the way at the bottom of your load order.

 

Speaking of which, weather mods (like Fellout and Enhanced Weather) are also best placed all the way at the bottom of your load order.
