Unable to launch Epic Game - init of EOS failure

Trying to launch Kingdom Come Deliverance (Epic Games) via Vortex.

When I do, I get a License not verified, "Init of EOS has failed" error message.

 

Game works fine with the desktop shortcut and a few Vortex versions ago, this used to work fine (though now I'm on Win11 instead of Win10 if that matters).

 

I went through the whole purging and re-adding, but no change.

I tried to manually add a shortcut using the link from the link generated by Epic (points to

(com.epicgames.launcher://apps/ca4058f18b0a4a9e9e2ccc28f7f33000%3A8f328dced20e41d29b6f1fceed8f2164%3AEel?action=launch&silent=true) - that just generates a failure error.

 

Any suggestions?

It's possible Epic have changed their DRM. You may still be able to start the game via the launcher rather than through Vortex though.
