ApolloFoxmask
HI after a long hiatus: what mods do you dream of seeing for New Vegas? No idea too weird. Thanks.
Radioactivelad
1. Mass adoption of the Community Wasteland Project. Everyone filling out their own little corner of the world, creating collaborative content and storytelling with other adopters. 2. An action-fps campaign total conversion. Doesn't really matter to me if it's "lore friendly" or even in the Fallout universe.

Guess I have to go check it out !?! People collab modding their own little piece of the Mohave ? Like a farm for example ? Then your neighbor down the road might be another farm or scrap yard ? Which you don't know till merging ? But ofcourse some preplanning between uploaders ; ) Add edit: Hmmm doesn't look like advertised ... a blank Mojave .Err do I have user error problem ... looks same as whats in the vanilla main file ? Radioactivelad
It's exactly what I was talking about By blanking out the mojave, it gives modders total freedom to put whatever idea they want without Vanilla content getting in the way. With enough people modding under that pretense, you'd wind up with a piecemeal total conversion of the game, in a wasteland defined by the community and what pieces you choose to install in your individual game. The concept of Collaborations was the idea that mutually interested modders could make crossover mods to link their individual projects together in some way, like a war between factions, or even just share concepts and lore. It's 2022. Everything "lore friendly" has been done to death, and it's holding people back. The "community wasteland" would be a wondrous evolution that might even usher in a new goldish age of NV modding. Mktavish
It's exactly what I was talking about I guess knowing exactly is a relative word ? By blanking out the mojave, it gives modders total freedom to put whatever idea they want without Vanilla content getting in the way. And this part is what I'm not understanding I guess ? Loaded the .esm , and everything vanilla is still there ? Or this means people can now feel free to blank out any ole section of vanilla , to make their own clean slate ?But some rules about dropping certain vanilla objects below the floor for disable . So as not to break things ???And I'm guessing the reason we need a vanilla dup master ... is some kind of buffering and control over changes ? With enough people modding under that pretense, you'd wind up with a piecemeal total conversion of the game, in a wasteland defined by the community and what pieces you choose to install in your individual game. The concept of Collaborations was the idea that mutually interested modders could make crossover mods to link their individual projects together in some way, like a war between factions, or even just share concepts and lore. Oh I love this concept ... instantly have a few ideas in mind for this type of group effort modding ; ) If I understand it correctly : \
Moksha8088
Texture mods that do not involve more detailed rust or dirt. Sort of a revitalization. More quest mods, you can never have enough of those.
Moksha8088
Oh yeah, some cut off jeans and a tank top for Willow. It would have to have a high armor rating to entice her to wear it.

Isn't that what Fallout 4 is for ?But I guess if we can lower it to 8 bit resolution , sort of a retro on the Atari 2600 ... I'd be down for it I can see the Lone wandering swinging on vines to reenact Pitfall :teehee:

Well less pixels and color shade variation would take away the nitty gritty details that achieve the worn out look . Therefore making it look new ... and in my opinion is sort of what Fo4 looks like they did ?
