Weird CTD upon loading areas/fast travel.

Something really weird has happening with my game. If i try to fast travel or load a new area (not interior, only wasteland areas) there's a 50/50 chance that it will crash. The infuriating thing is that, the game runs fine and wont crash in interiors at any time, and the worst is that, i can travel (by foot) everywhere in the wasteland without getting a crash, and when im standing in an area like nellis airport (Its an example, it happens everywhere) and i fast travel right there, it might crash, which seems stupid considering i had no problems while i was there.

It wont crash on loading saves or if i revisit the area after going in a near interior.

I disabled the auto save and all wasteland changing mods it still happens.

Most of the time it seems to load for a couple seconds, and then it crashes. This problem didn't happened before, and it puzzels me that is now happening very often.

Anyone could lend a hand with this?

Most likely a memory error.

remove mods you do not need (redundent) or are finished with and remove them. Unticking them helps some, removing them completely does more.

Try using FNVedit to check load order.

Use FNV edit to make a mergedpatch (just a compatibility patch to make the mods more compatible, does not merge them).

Open FNVEdit, wait for it to complete. Then anywhere on the left, right click and scroll to the bottom and select merged patch. Wait while it completes. Add it LAST! in your load order.

Try compressing your textures. Use this. http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/46074//? be cautious and do not be overly aggressive.

Done, and i find a boost in my overall fps, but it still crashes just a sec after fast traveling.

I still cant figure out what is causing this.

Make sure you do not have MODs loaded which are not needed or are in obvious conflict. Prime examples would be MODS which have multiple versions such as MOD+all_DLC.esp MOD+NO_DLC.esp, you must pick only one.

Also Fallout New Vegas is horribly unstable once you go over a certain number of mods. In general this seems to fall in the 120-140 range. What matters here seems to be the load order list. So mods like WMX create more problems then the identical WMXUE since WMX uses many more separate ESP files. Also some files just will not get along with certain others (and this is not always resolved with a merge atch).

Check the integrity of your install using STEAM. Start the main app, select games (at the top), view game library, right click on fallout new vegas, select properties, then select local files and then verify cache. For some reason it always finds at least 1file so finding only 1 file which is supposedly damaged is most likely a false positive.

If in doubt uninstall and re-install the game. This does not mess up your load order, saved games or anything. Steam only nukes the files it installed on your system.

divide you mod list in quarters... then disable 1/4 of them at a time. Don't worry does nothing unless you save. Just be aware that if you have modded weapons and you disable WMX or WMXUE you will crash as soon as your character access them. Drop everything else in a container and use the console to delete the modded weapons if you have this problem.

Also having switched from weapons modded by WMX to WMXUE, double check that you do not have any corrupt weapons.

Might also want to reset your archive invalidation. In NMM, just toggle it off and back on. note: NMM may crash when you do this, but not a big deal just reload and try again.
