teseo5544
many mods say they need SKS64.dll, and I don't know how to fix it.
Gorgopis
You may need a program SKSE64_2_00_19.7z, and download it into your mod organizer, to get the .dll. (We don't know how to add a link or an image into this window, to show you, so if anyone is reading this, please instruct us on how to use the Nexus Forums Editor.) But, meantime, for us (two of us) Vortex installed SKSE 64, after we downloaded it and dragged it into the Vortex mods window. And then we needed to added it as a tool to run the game in our Vortex dashboard. To our knowledge, the SKSE utility helps many mods be stable. This worked for Skyrim SE, but we don't know about Skyrim AE or Skyrim VR. GL.

showler
You're using VR. You'll need to find DLL replacement files for the SKSE64 DLL files for the mods you are using. Look in the optional files sections for the mods or search for them.
Gorgopis
@teseo5544 Thanks for the screenshot tutorial. @showler knows. You need special SKSE .dll for Skyrim VR. The mods that you have downloaded that work with VR may also have files at the Nexus site or perhaps in your folders that explain or point to which SKSE .dll you may need. The SKSE we use is for Skyrim SE--not VR.

Algabar
1. Download the VR version of SKSE (build 2.0.12) from www.silverlock.org. 2. Add the zip file "as is" as a mod to Vortex. Install and enable it. From my experience, Vortex can install SKSE correctly. If installing with Vortex fails for some reason, install SKSE manually. There's a readme file in the SKSE package. Follow the instructions there. 3. Now you need to start the game with "SKSE64_loader.exe". I'd recommend creating a desktop shortcut with Windows. Or you can add SKSE to your Vortex dashboard. Important is to really use the SKSE launcher, not the usual SkyrimSE.exe.
