Slaiv
Bethsoft has released 2 new Oblivion screens - make of them what you will: http://www.morrowind.com/images/art/obliv/obliv09B.jpg http://www.morrowind.com/images/art/obliv/obliv08B.jpg
valdir
Prime examples of how bloom can be overused. Actually, weilded properly, you could blind someone with that sword blade. Or at least melt some ants. Looking good, regardless. ~V
Luxar
pretty cool. I'm more impressed by the first shot than the second, the lighting looks quite realistic. The question now is when will they implement shadows on objects? That's driving me nuts in the shots they've released!

Slaiv
Probably smoking [insert drug here.] That would explain the over-used bloom effect: "Oooooohhhh, shiny........." There weren't any in Morrowind, either: http://pcmedia.ign.com/media/previews/image/mwind004.jpg
Luxar
true, but I wholly expect Oblivion's graphics to be a thousand times greater than Morrowind's. Nice shadows are a given :).
Abramul
Let's see, on the table we have:Silver War Axe, Steel War Axe, Silver Claymore(Shiny), some Expensive Gloves, Silver Dagger, Iron Helm, Mithril Helm?, a mace, probably Steel, what might be a Nordic Battle Axe, and leaning against the table is an Iron Battle Axe. Looking good!
Kaningutten
Hehe, I'm not a 56k user anymore :D Nice to see they're keeping the Morrowind feel in that indoor screenshot! I would like to seem some shadows, though. As for the outdoor screen; They prove again that the landscape of Oblivion will rock! *drooling* Just look at the grass and the bushes!!! Slaiv
They may include shadows, but remember - shadows cause a LOT of framerate slowdown, even on more powerful machines, if they're detailed for every single in-game object.
cmac
Notice the position of the gloves- this signifies something very important. See how the topmost one is draped over the bottom one? THat must mean that 'soft' objects placed over one another have gravity and fall or rise according to their position, or the new CS has the ability to alter the position of such objects. Either way, we have moved out of the era of stiff, static objects.
