Durak is blocking my view

When I enter Markarth the scene plays out with the assault. Unfortunately Durak from the Dawnguard expansion is standing right there trying to talk to me like nothing is happening. It really spoils immersion.

Also I just read on the wiki that the hall of the Vigilant is destroyed after I reach level 10 and I am level 13. I would rather have the opportunity to visit the hall of the Vigilant before it is destroyed.

 

How do get Durak way from Markarth, so that I can watch the scripted cinema without him in the way?

I killed a Vampire NPC, so it might cause problems to remove Dawnguard.

Actually, Dawnguard can't be removed once you hi level 8 - that's when the vampire attacks begin triggering. That's whether you've killed or met any or not. In fact it's pretty safe to say that if Dawnguard was active when you saw the opening splash screen, you should probably leave it there until you're ready to start another playthrough.

 

There's not much I can suggest for this playthrough beyond reloading your last auto-save and holding off on entering Markarth until you've met Durak elsewhere. For future playthroughs though, I highly recommend the mod Timing is Everything (http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/38151//?) It allows you to control the level at which various quests become available, including all three expansions and most of the Daedric quest.

Thanks. Will try the mod on my next playthrough. I will probably find the Dawnguard fort and see if I can meet Durak there instead.
