fnon
Ok, I'm stuck on a problem here, I "made" a new Gauss assault rifle and everything works perfectly, except I just can't get the texture to change, which i find strange because when I drop it the texture stays like I want it, when I give it to one of my followers, it stays the color I want it, but as soon as i wield it, it just stays the same!I mean I just can't figure it out, I think it has to do with the fact that I can't uncheck the "Dont use 1st person IS model", everytime I check it, save and reopen it's unchecked again.but I have no idea what's going on!Can anyone help? Please?Pretty please with sugar on the top? TGBlank
For each weapon, there is a "1stperson" model and texture. You need to edit that one as well
fnon
Hmm I think i've got it, the first person model scrolldown box thingie is on gauss rifle, but how the hell can I change that?because I don't know how to add a weapon to that list... Deleted1084753User
Remember you can also select All and then filter down to find something (just typing in 1stperson would've netted you all the static 1st person models) :)
PzKpfwIV
Uhhmm...ok, I think I kinda' hit a snag here and since this a 'help' topic, I might as well ask...I guess. So I downloaded one of those body replacer (both male and female) for the sake of realism. I managed to get it working with the game BUT! Here's the catch. How do I implement the body replacer (hence nude mod) to apply only to the Raiders (maybe some wastelandersO and NOT the PC or other NPCs? Just for realism sake, I mean I can see raiders not wearing anything underneath their garments but other settlers? I believe they're more civilized and they will more or less use an underwear to cover themselves when not using anything just for the civilized sake--especially someone who came from a vault; and the child of a scientist at that! So please-please I need help on this. How to implement the body replacer mod to affect only the raiders (and maybe wastelanders) and not others like Enclave, settlers, PC, party members and such? Interfer0
That would take a lot of work. You would have to change the default skins of certain sets of people, but not other sets of people. I'm not even sure where to begin.
Deleted1084753User
Hmm, well each race is split into different parts (regular npcs, raiders, old folk, children), so the first thing to do would be to open up the GECK, go to Actor Data > Races, and open up whichever race you want to edit (say, the Hispanic Raider). On the second tab (Body Data) you can specify what mesh to use, as well as which texture. So you could easily switch the raiders over to the custom body mesh and texture, while leaving the regular Hispanic race NPCs using the default body meshes/textures. One thing to consider is that body replacer mods replace the default body/texture, so you should rename the mesh and texture to something else so that the default npcs still use the default body, while your edited ones use the new body. If you really wanted to go to town on this, you could create a set of new races as well, and use body replacers with different breast sizes for females, or use different body replacer mods together at the same time, as you'd specifiy which body you wanted to use for each race. Of course, you'd then have to go through all the NPCs and edit them to use your new races if you wanted them to, so that'd take a fair amount of work compared to just editing the current races. PzKpfwIV
Oh crap... Well, I guess that answers it... T_T I'm seriously new on this modding and is, to be honest, practically clueless on this. I appreciate the effort of those talented skinners, but with everyone going commando its hard to say its *close* to realistic. I can't imagine how the Lone Wanderer would look like when he/she's captured by the enclave...to add, using the skin mod. Enclave must be that desperate I guess... I think I'll put a request...
