xcom2 mods work, dont work in xcom:WOTC dlc

I have mods enabled and they all work in the base XCOM2, but on the launcher when I select WOTC, it still shows mods there and enabled, but once loaded the game, no mods are working, any fix to this? I got the XCOM2 and DLC thru Epic store

I believe some mods won't work with the Epic version. Highlander mods won't work (Long War 2 for the base game integrates the Highlander) and so mods that require the Highlander won't work either.
