ej4y
Okay so... I've installed enb v.221 from enbdev.comI've installed the enb preset Project ENB, with the main files and additional copies from the "Full Graphics Mode" (& alternately the "Extreme Performance" option) and I'm running the ENB via the injector because the wrapper version crashes at launcher. My SkyrimPrefs.ini is altered correctly (to my knowledge) and is as follows: [Display]iBlurDeferredShadowMask=0fInteriorShadowDistance=3000.0000fShadowDistance=2000.0000iShadowMapResolutionSecondary=1024iShadowMapResolutionPrimary=2048iShadowSplitCount=2iMaxAnisotropy=2fLeafAnimDampenDistEnd=4600.0000fLeafAnimDampenDistStart=3600.0000fTreesMidLODSwitchDist=3600.0000fGamma=1.4000fDecalLOD2=1500.0000fDecalLOD1=1000.0000fSpecularLODStartFade=1550.0000fShadowLODStartFade=200.0000fLightLODStartFade=3335.0000iTexMipMapMinimum=0iTexMipMapSkip=0iWaterMultiSamples=0iMultiSample=0iShadowMode=3bTreesReceiveShadows=1bDrawLandShadows=1 My system specs are as follows:nVidia GeForce GTX 460MIntel Core i7-2820QM @ 2.30GHz16GB RAM. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
LargeStyle
Firstly, as you intend to run ENB you don't need non-ENB anisotropy so set the line... iMaxAnisotropy=2 ... to a value of 0 or 1 instead of 2. Secondly, do you intentionally have... fGamma=1.4000 ... set different from the normal value of 1.0000? Project ENB does not state to change this value so I imagine it should be set to 1. Thirdly, this line... fShadowDistance=2000.0000 ...has a abnormally low shadow distance. Although this may be intentional, you'll have a lot of the screen without shadows being rendered. If I recall correctly the default high shadow distance is 4000, which in my tastes is still very poor, so I've changed mine to 8000. As shadows are rendered on CPU (nice one Bethesda) you'll notice a performance hit but personally I think it's worth it. As for the sun rays, what exactly is not working and how? Do they not show up at all, or do they show but don't work properly? Certain nVidia drivers can cause the sun rays to not work properly (I believe including the current latest drivers) - so I've continued using driver 314.22 as it's known to be the best / most compatible driver for Skyrim when using ENB. Also, you haven't stated if you followed the advice on the Project ENB page... - Open your SkyrimPrefs.ini file located in your "My Documents" folder and make sure these lines are set:bFloatPointRenderTarget=1 This value is set to 0 as standard, and if left like this then the sun rays will not work properly (the sun will shine through objects). Once the value has been changed to 1 then it should be ok.
ej4y
When I say they're not working, I mean they're not showing up in-game at all. I've changed all the settings accordingly (and as per your/ProjectENB's instructions) and still no effect will come through... I daresay this is a driver compatibility issue, unfortunately.
