When you run it it will open a window with all the mods selected that are active and inactive in your load-order. Just click on 'ok' and FNVEdit will analyze the list for obvious conflicts. For example if you have a missing file. If bob.esp needs a doug.esp which needs mckenzie.esm FNVEdit would spot as an error[x] mckenzie.esm[ ] doug.esp[x] bob.esp Similarly it would catch as an error[x] mckenzie.esm[x] bob.esp[x] doug.esp But if mckenzie.esm does nothing without bob and doug, it will not catch as an error [x] mckenzie.esm[ ] bob.esp[ ] doug.esp It will also not automatically detect errors like:bob.esp puts a doughtnut in the worldspace Greatwhitenorth.doug.esp puts a beer in the worldspace Greatwhitenorth at the exact same co-ordinates.But this sort of conflict can be resolved with a merge patch. A merge patch does not merge your files it creates a conflict resolution file. In the above example, it would resolve the conflict by placing a beer there since doug.esp came last.To create a merge patch, start FNVEdit, load all your mods. Wait for it to finish loading. Resolve errors (if any), Right click in the left window (the list of your loaded files), select OTHER then CREATE MERGE PATCH. Also your MOD list shows yup loaded fairly late in the load order. The mod author suggests that it be as early as possible. I suggest right after the DLCs.Also make sure you are not loading redundant or unused files.EVE for all DLC and EVE for no DLC = crash.WMXUE and WMX = problems.Load WMXUE late in the load order as it is very finicky. rotwhip Posted October 12, 2013 Author Share Posted October 12, 2013 (edited) ok, quick update, fiddled around with it and figured out the problem. aparently, it was not a load order problem as i first thought, it was instead a problem resulting from my recklessness in installing the mods in the first place. (i just got the game and being overconfident with my modding knowledge, i downloaded a bunch of mods, [patches and core mods] and installed ALL of them without thinking much of it.) ....yeah so what pretty much happened was that i installed patches before the core, i (as bjornl said), put EVE dlc and no dlc together, i used WMXUE and WMX together, and other assorted stupids. so what i did was uninstalled everything, and CAREFULLY installed things, keeping your input in mind thanks for all your input, much appreciated, and new vegas is working like a charm. EDIT: sorry i didnt post the second load-order, i got frustrated and took a break, and forgot about it for like, a week.heh....
