Fable is very variable. Most people get at least 15 hours out of it, that's just with one character. Then there's the opportunity to take an alternate path (good or evil). A second character, another 15 hours easy.

Personally I made 3 characters, tried the good and evil paths, and got and did just about everything in the game. 70 hours, ish.

Well worth the money IMO :P and it's not £40, more like £30 from Amazon.

I enjoyed Halo 2, other than the ending, I wasn't dissappointed at all.

Halo TWO but a patched version of the original

Maybe you didn't notice... but the graphics and physics were fantastically improved. The gameplay was more or less the same, but it is a sequel after all. :P

Are they going to make another Halo for every friggin' ring they gotta blow up!?

I'd buy them. ;)

Never played Fable, didn't look very fun.

I haven't played either game, but I know some interesting info about Fable (thank Electronic Gaming Magazine). You are not allowed to use weapons in villages, right? Well, you can blame the play testers for that. The developers were quite surprised to find players massacring entire villages, buying up everything at knockdown prieces, the renting it out to new commers. (I don't know anything about gameplay mechanics, just paraphrasing the article). Here is a direct quote, "and when we introduced children, the players did unspeakable things to them. So that is why now you can't use weapons in villages."

Definitely Halo2. From the claims of the rabid fans, I was expecting a revolutionary game that would turn the world into an absolute paradise. Something better and more important than any other event in known history. But all we got was a game? Huge disappointment.

But seriously, Halo2 defined "over-hyped". It would've taken divine intervention for it not to be a disappointment compared to its expectations.

This just makes me want to go play Fallout, which allowed me to open up a child's inventory and place an active explosive on him, run away and then come back to children giblets littering the area.

I could also do this to dogs, cats, gays and policemen.

Fallout was a very fun game.

EDIT: In response to Peregrine, one of my school buddies was an "OMFG HALO222@!!!1" fanboy. Due to sports and school he didn't get to play it until the weekend.

Anyway, I asked him about it and his response was "Oh, yeah... it was cool."

:bleh:
