Ghost and Andasreth

ok I have two questions. try to answer them without spoiling TOO much.

i was doing the redoran mission to kill the mudcrabs for some dark elf, I finished it and i thought i'd go check out Andasreth. On the map it looked like some sort of base or camp, so I went inside. I met 2 people who immedietley attacked me, i killed them... not wanting to find out why they attacked me, i left immedietly and havent returned.

 

So what is Andasreth about? is it like a Rebel base? Ashlanders? what?

 

Heres my other question. I was heading to Ald Velothi for my other redoran mission when I came across some girl who was looking for her ring. I jumped into the pool, and i couldnt find it. so I gave up and went to Ald Velothi. after my mission was done, on the way back. standing beside here was a Ghost of a guy wearing a Chitin mask (the one with the ugly goggles).

 

I talked to him and he said something like, "I dont want to talk to you, outlander" and Goodbye

 

1.) who is he

2.)What does he want

3.)why wont he talk to me

4.)should I leave him alone or what?

With out spoiling it, he is part of the girl's lost ring quest, he's not a ghost he is just using invisibility, if you find the ring you'll find out why he's there

yeah Im probably not gonna do the quest anyways,

 

1.) i cant find the damn ring

2.) after talking to her, she told me herbackground was THIEF, when she introduced to me as an acrobat/dancer. I dont trust her

 

so what about Andasreth, is it a rebel camp or what is it?

andasreth is a dunmer stronghold. theres 10 of them. individuallly they aren't key places - more like places to loot like the bandit caves. there's a bit more to them, like a quest if you get the official plugin. and even if you don't, there's still the propylon chambers. i won't say anymore in case you'd rather find out for yourself.

 

the ring IS in the pond like she said. you just have to look closely - it is a ring, so it's quite small. and it's only a small pond, so it shouldn't take that long to find it.

I also tried for mabey hours and I couldn't find it eather, I just got fed up and stopped

you tried for hours? it's a puddle o.O

 

it doesn't shine or anything, because it's not enchanted. you'll have to crouch down to see it. and it might help if you have night-eye to see better.

Or turn your brightness/contrast way up. It's a black ring, on a dark background. Pretty much the only way to find it otherwise is to randomly hover over it with the mouse and get the item information popup box.

The ring is on the bottom of the pond on the left left just as you enter the pond. It is by the leaf stem of a plant. IIRC the second or third stem on the left. In another thread cmac posted a photo so you might want to search over 30 days. The reward is definitely worth getting.

Andasreth is used on a House Redoran quest.

If you intend to join these guilds it is best to wait for the quests otherwise you run the risk of mislaying the item you need.
