Notsure122 Posted October 8, 2013 Posted October 8, 2013 I get a message that says the NMM is unavailable or down. I have been having this problem for a couple of months now. both when I try to download from nexus and when I try and activate the NMM from my desktop. is this a problem for anyone else or am I just lucky that way?
SpockST Posted October 8, 2013 Posted October 8, 2013 It's been working for me. Have you tried going to the main Mod page and downloading the program from there? Just click on any of the game icons and the DL link for NMM is near the top right of the page.
Georgiegril Posted October 9, 2013 Posted October 9, 2013 Did you give administrator priveledges to NMM vby right clicking on the icon and selecting run as administrator?It sounds to me like your system or firewall might be blocking NMM.

Georgie, yes I just tried that and got the same message. I tried Cavern isles and thought it was cool but a little too dark for me. any other ideas on how to fix this mess? Georgiegril Posted October 10, 2013 Posted October 10, 2013 Well thanks for trying it. BTW, are you using a particular lighting mod? (I am trying to see what is making it too dark for some.) What version of NMM are you using? Also, have you tried logging out, clearing your cache, and logging back in?

Generally I don't like anything that messes with the performance of the game and lighting mods can slow the game slightly. I have found that most modders have a feel that they are trying to go for with their mods. Honestly, I just thought that you wanted to set a tone. As far as NMM I'm using 45.6 with the latest skse ( I think) it's kind of hard to keep up with the skse right now. they seem to change it every few days. But I am pretty sure that everything is up to date. clearing the cache? doesn't that happen each time you log out? oh... you mean going to steam and doing it that way right?
