Character skins/meshes/graphic improvements

Can anyone give me a few mod URL's to improve the way the character graphics look?

 

I see some screen shots where peoples characters look a million times better than the standard graphics. I just downloaded FNV and wanted to load up on some graphics improving mods before diving in.

 

My main thing is the standard female characters look so...blah.

 

I downloaded the type3 body but not sure if that improves graphics much or just changes body type.

 

I am pretty new here and to modding so sorry in advance. I know some people might tell me to go sift through all the mods but I am at work and wanted to try and download some right when i get home.

Type 3 does indeed improve the both the mesh and textures for the body, same with type 6, skinny, etc. For head mesh and textures however, you could try XCE, or Women of the Wasteland. if you want just textures, DK Female face textures. Err, what else... there's more but that's what I can think of off the top of my head.

 

That's for females though, not sure if you want some links for males too.

Thanks for the mods! makes me think maybe my type3 isnt working right then because I cant tell any difference after I downloaded it...

Note that virtually all armours replace the torso. They don't go on top of it, or adjust to it, they flat out replace it. You may think "oh, but look, that one shows a lot of legs and cleavage, that has to be the Type 3 body I'm seeing under it", but actually it's replaced with whatever body the armour was made for.

 

Hence, unless you also download Type 3 clothes replacers, yeah, only naked characters will look any different.

If you're talking about the head mesh and or textures, then it depends on the race because some races use the vanilla head mesh and some have their own (Ie: The fox race)

You need to alter the race in the GECK, load up the ESP, go to characters>race, select the race, get the right sex and then point it to the texture you want, save and exit.
