pablosplinter
Hi everyone. I find myself not being able to start a new game anymore. I have lots of mods, but I have played before with the same mods installed, I wondered if I possibly have too many. Atm, I have 132 ESM/ESPs loaded, and so far as I can see, there aren't any conflicts. I have reinstalled onto new drives etc, but nothing helps. Vanilla works ok, so the only thing I can think of is that I have too many, but I have used more before! The crash happens without fail just after the horse neighs right at the beginning, about a second after the loading screen. Deleted31005User
I'm sure this question has been asked many times here already, the opening scene with the chariot where your hand are bound is heavily scripted and it is advised not to use any mods until your hands are unbound and you can actually play the game.Good luck. Thanks for the suggestion. It seems odd to me, as I have played through the opening sequence many times, with even more mods, but it has suddenly started happening! PS. Used you Lakeview mod before and it is very good!
bben46
Helgen is part intro and part tutorial. It is heavily scripted so you really can't do anything they don't want you to until you exit the cave. I recommend not using mods until after you finish Helgen and exit the cave - Then, before adding any mods , make a permanent save - now, add mods and test - when you have a working game with mods, make another permanent save - these are good for troubleshooting later.
