DashingKnight
I have never in my life had a strong PC. I will soon have a PC that may finally allow me to unlock Skyrim's full potential. I would be most grateful if you guys would offer some Mod advice and recommendations. In the end I know it all comes down to personal taste and preference. I'm interested in each of your opinions though. There are so many wonderful Mods to choose from and it can be confusing. I've never had this kind of opportunity before and really want to go all out. Here is my goal... I'm looking for the ultimate and most realistic visual and immersive experience possible for my new PC's specifications without burning it up. I'd like the most up to date and technically advanced Mods to max out Skyrim. I need suggestions on what works well together and how to accomplish true realism game wise. (Primarily Visually) If you could be so kind as to compile a list of Mods I should try together it would be wonderful! I know there have been other threads like this but everyone's needs and PC's are different. Here is my PC specifications: PC: - Alienware custom built. Premium Liquid Cooling.Processor: - Intel® Core™ i7-4820K Processor. (10M Cache, up to 3.90 GHz).Operating System: - Windows® 7 Home Premium, 64Bit.Memory: - 16GB (4 X 4GB) Quad Channel DDR3 at 1600MHz.Hard Drive: - 2TB 7200 RPM SATA 6Gb/s.Video Card: - NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 690 4GB GDDR5. Thanks in advance!

PubliusNV
If you're not already aware of it, you might want to check out the Skyrim Total Enahancement Project (STEP) http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/11/? Their wiki contains advice on using mod managers, tuning, and their recommended mods: http://wiki.step-project.com/STEP:2.2.7 I'm currently happily running with 106 mods, most of them from STEP, on a 2 year old Alienware laptop that isn't as powerful as your new machine. ElectricMessiah
My #1 advice is watch Gopher's Begginers Guide to Modding Skyrim series of videos on Youtube. He does dome incredibly well done videos for beginners and intermediate Skyrim modders. You can't loose watching them. http://www.youtube.com/user/GophersVids?feature=watch

Those videos are extremely helpful. I'm going to try to use all those Mods he recommended. The only thing I'm not sure about is whether to go with RealVision ENB like Gopher features or Sharpshooters or Kountervibe ENB? I have been told by many that Kountervibe is the best??? I'm going for the realistic approach, so I'll be experimenting with the highest possible face and body textures as well. Now let's just hope I don't burn my PC up.

I can't afford to make any changes now.
