litbeep Posted June 25, 2022 Share Posted June 25, 2022 Hello! I've been having a strange problem with a particular mod and no one seems to be able to answer this. Figured I'd ask here as well. A little bit of background: I'm playing TTW and using the Mobile Truck Base mod that is maintained by TheMany. I'm also using the Springvale Garage mod along with it. It's a good combo, but the MTB mod doesn't allow travel directly to the Springvale Garage, so I decided to load it up in GECK and simply move the truck and its door/markers from its original position (just outside of Megaton) closer to the garage. Save the ESP, load up the game, great! The truck is exactly where I placed it and functions correctly. That is, until I use the truck to fast travel away from Springvale and then fast travel back. Now, after leaving the truck, the door (which uses an invisible forcefield as a mesh) has completely disappeared. Then I discovered that if I started walking towards Megaton, the door would coyly return to its rightful place behind the truck. Then I discovered that if I just went off in a different direction, the door would disappear again. And here is a video demonstration of the issue, if that helps. I actually did try this on a new save file and ran into the same issue. As soon as I unload the esp I made, the problem disappears. The funny thing is, I'm doing exactly what was suggested by the original mod author in their own thread. It's talking about Goodsprings, but I assume the same concept applies to any location. showler Posted June 26, 2022 Share Posted June 26, 2022 I'm no expert, but what it sounds like is that the door is only getting loaded by the game when you are in the cell next to Megaton (the cell the door was originally in). but now you've moved it to the neighboring cell that Springvale is in.
