JimboUK
After reading this I gave playing with low charisma a go, I can't say I noticed much difference apart from fewer Megaton residents rushing up to give me dead squirrel lumps which I can do without anyway. doomboy536
Unless I want to go all talky-talky (which is sinfully boring), I go for charisma one or two now. Extra VATS ftw.

Astorius
It's a pity Charisma is nowhere near as useful as it was in previous Fallouts. I enjoyed playing a man of science who would resort to violence only when necessary.
Rockatanskiy
Someone should make a mod that equalizes the SPECIAL stats, and most importantly, charisma. Perhaps you could only even acquire certain quests in the first place with a certain charisma. Hell, make it so that you can ONLY do the main quest if you have a charisma of one! What if you walk into a new town with a CHA of 1 and you're holding an assault rifle out, locked and loaded? I'd think the sheriff or whatever would be kinda nervous about that, and might even go ahead and attack if you make any sudden movements. It would be the little things like this that would actually convince me to make my CHA anything more than the lowest it can possibly be.
VikingII
Quest givers, gived or solved by charisma, random encounters ho need barter, speech or charisma (like lockpicking or hacking terminals needs lockpick and/or science), choice reward options, reply dialog options, more polite NPC talking to you, gifts that you have to choice between quantity and/or type of ammo or aid... etc Charisma CAN be more relevant whit out sacrifice the dynamic shooter-style. sp86
It used to be charisma was used to determine the number of followers you could have. No more. :(
