Upscaling explosion visual effects?

Explosions are mainly made with Particles Systems (one of the most complex nif structure), a bunch of tweaked settings inside combined with larger textures can make them look bigger but can also make a PC choke.

 

I don't know about blast radius but info about that should be easier to find.

Ah okay, so its probably beyond the capabilities of someone who just learned to make custom guns a couple days ago. I have basic knowledge of nifskope and general weapon creation in geck but thats about it. Im guessing i shouldnt attempt this so i dont break things? I was basically trying to make a projectile using either an upscaled mini-nuke effect or downscaled megaton bomb effect, for that real nuclear detonation feeling.

You can up and down their physics easy. The art work you see , is another thing. But you should stop thinking in 1 explosion dimension.

Take the core visual explosion and add others around it . Make them have no force , with only the initial having force you increased.

Or deal with the multi explosion force ... do some tests to see what you get . Modding is all about the testing ... then the hair pulling .

You think you will some how have a perfect mod experience with the help of the mod boards ?

 

NOT ! and us that spent time hair pulling won't allow it . Hehe .... err I mean the laws of physics .
