thedragonborn456
A few days ago, everything I did (like waiting or fast travel) caused the game to suddenly crash and close out for no apparent reason. I ended up trying to restart my game in hopes that that might solve the issue, but when I join Hadvar in the very beginning my games just closes itself out. I've tried to install the Unofficial Skyrim Patch and start a new save, but the same results occur. I've also tried to uninstall the Skyrim HD pack because that was told to cause problems, but the same exact thing. Could it possibly be because of a mod? Any help would be very much appreciated. thedragonborn456
I'm not providing much information because I really don't know that much. I'm kind of new to PC gaming and Skyrim is the only big PC game I've played so far. I checked other forums and people who have similar problems to what I have says it's just the game, not any of the computer's software. Is there a way for me to re Install without paying anything? Moduser336
I've been getting crashes all day as well, so you're not alone lol. From what I've been able to gather from browsing the net, it would be helpful to list the following information as a way to rule things out-- 1. System Specs, from hardware to type of operating system2. Recent changes to mods, .ini files, system or os/software3. Mod load order, and whether or not you use BOSS4. What kind of crash is it? Hard Freeze? Or is it a crash to desktop? You should also check the log. Put the following in your skyrim.ini in Documents > My Games > Skyrim:: [Papyrus]bEnableLogging=1bEnableTrace=1bLoadDebugInformation=1 Then after each crash, check Documents > My Games > Skyrim > Logs > Script Your most recent log will always be marked Papyrus.0Check the last few lines of the log every time the game crashes. If you keep seeing the same text, it would be likely that has something to do with your problem. You can post that info here in case someone can help, as well as search more info online.Good luck to you. Still trying to figure out my own hard freeze issue. EDIT: Btw, anytime you make changes to your .ini files you should make a backup in case something goes wrong. If there's an undesirable outcome you can always replace it with the original file. Just copy and store in a folder somewhere you'll remember. Maybe on your desktop. Edited October 20, 2013 by Moduser336
thedragonborn456
I'll check that out once I'm able to get onto my computer (which isn't until next week). Another thing I'm thinking on doing is completely uninstalling all of my mods, deleting all of my saves, reactivating the ones I want and see if that makes a difference.
