Question about closed account notifications

The question I have is that since the account name is no longer used and the notification shows the account number, why bother to post the closure notice since no one, other than staff, has access to the account number?

This is a log of any accounts we've deleted as staff, rather than users using the self-service option.

 

I suppose it could be hidden from non-moderators if I'm right about the forum.

Is there another listing where only the account numbers are used? If so, that is information that does not need to be published in an open forum since only the staff knows the account numbers.
