Settler Aggression?

I have just started playing fo4 again after a two year hiatus. I posted on this topic back then and, was curious to see if any mods have been developed to address the issue(?) of settlers out running the defenses I spent so much time putting in place? On my current character, County Crossing was attacked while I was actually there. The setters not only defended the settlement, they perused the attackers all the way to the satellite array occupied by super mutants, and, well, lets just say there was a helluva fire fight with the super mutants. Every one of the settlers involved, even shop-keepers?

Is there a mod that will restrict their aggression? One that will keep them within the sphere of all of those turrets I spent so much time strategically placing?

Thanks,

I know the problem that you're talking about! I made the mistake of making Hangman's Alley into a settlement once. Ya know...the one right there in the middle of the city?

I also made the mistake of fortifying the living hell out of it.

Lets just say that as soon as the synths ran away, the settlers and guards persued out into the city, and then started attacking every single hotspot that they came across!!

It took so long for that to end, that I got sick of it and loaded a prior save!!

I dunno if that bug has been addressed or not, but I'm defiitely interested in knowing.

I recommend SKK's Settlement Attack System https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/37393

Here are a few but not the least features.

1. You can disable the vanilla Attack System by Settlement.

2. Imminent Attacks notifications are popups not a short message notification that you might miss.

3. The Attack won't start until you get there.

4. Auto repair Settlement resources using workshop materials available.

5. Attack Strength and Size/Numbers of Atatckers control.

6. Faction related Settlement Patrols. Not just Minutemen.

7. Set timer between attacks.

7. All of it Customizable via Holotape

Dreadshow: Thanks for the link, that guy does create some interesting mods, have a few of them in my load already. The thing is that settlements aren't a priority to me, his attacks were a little too intense for my taste....the first attack on sanctuary was wave after wave of Gunners with energy weapons that literally fogged my view with the red flashes, I couldn't identify anything unless it was tagged, even then you are literally shooting at arrows. This was on the mods default settings. I do, however , Have mods in my load order that could be contributing to that.
I found another mod that looked good, but,. after reading through the "post" seemed to make settlers a little too passive...

StormWolf01: It is fun to watch, but frustrating at the same time. I run the "better settlers" mod which allows your to arm settlers with any weapon you have, (just give them one ammo for the weapon you give them) but, it is a pain to to arm every settler you have with something better than a pipe weapon.
