Activator on Flora

I would like to put the "TrapFloraThistle" on other wild plants.

 

1) Copied the thistle activator (TrapThistleScript) over another wild plant of choice but it somehow doesnt work.

2) Tried to replace the Flora with an Activator but still..

 

what am i missing?

Have you looked at the actual nif files and see if anything special is going on? If there isn't anything special (e.g. animation, etc) you might try the following:

 

1. Create a new activator

2. Map the fora model of choice o your new activator.

3. Add the TrapThistleScript and fill out the properties

4. Test

I have 3 NIFs

- Current state

- Explosion NIF

- Harvested State

 

The Script simply sets an explosion to place which triggers radiation exposure of X. ITs quite simple you come close to the flora wait a second and it goes off, the flora switches its appearance from intact to "harvested", destroyed.

 

I did what you said, copied the activator, and replaced any flora reference (placed object) with the new activator (FormID).

 

Ingame i see the correct NIF for the intact state on the where same position, but the flora doesnt go off, explode or changes its state no matter how long i stay next to the plant.

 

Its either the script and/or the NIF (like you said) i have no idea where to look at it. In CK i dont see anything special for the script. So again im pretty sure what you said is true, but where must i look in NIFskope to see the answer. I went through all references. I have a feeling its directly infront of me... :smile:
