FredBassett
I'm getting an issue with Skyrim. been following ESO's mod list install video. Had issues getting it to work right. This is my 3rd and last attempt. When i install SKSE now, it won't appear in the "new" section on Vortex. If i uninstall and reinstall Vortex it doesn't take me back to the original, fresh 1st time installed page. Any way i can get that?
Pickysaurus
Maybe you should link the video you're following? I'm already trying to reach ESO about some problems with their Collection, so it could also be that.
rmm200
As a general rule, re-installing either Vortex or the game is unlikely to fix anything.Exceptions to that rule are all pretty specific.Coming here for help is better than re-installing anything.Second rule: Install SKSE before you install any other mod, and make sure it works. A lot of mods depend on it.
FredBassett
Maybe you should link the video you're following? I'm already trying to reach ESO about some problems with their Collection, so it could also be that. It was ESO's video for installing the collection. I think some of it is "luck of the draw". It will work for some while it won't work for others. I've followed it to the second twice now and trying one last time. I don't think it will work. Just don't know why SKSE isn't appearing on Vortex when i just added it in the Skyrim files on my system. For anyone that has not seen the video, here it is. It's a great walkthrough

Everything installed inc the ENB's etc but when you went to load the game, it showed the ENB's were loaded but then the game just never loaded and started. As a newb, trying to figure it out would be almost impossible. Vortex had no errors as the tool that fixes the errors in the installation worked fine. The 1st two times SKSE installed and appeared on Vortex dashboard but not this time. I did it the same way each time
Guest deleted34304850
your issues arent with vortex - so reinstalling it back to default won't solve your issues. this forum is full of people who went full gun on reinstalling everything - and all it does is waste your time and you're back at square one, so i'd advise you move on from trying to reinstall the mod manager and concentrate on getting skse up and running. rmm200
If you install SKSE manually - it will not show up in Vortex. Vortex only shows mods that Vortex installs.Drag the zip file you download from skse.silverlock.org to the Vortex window. Make sure you have the right version for your Skyrim.Let Vortex install it.
