FOMM is way better than the launcher indeed...

Dtools wasnt recognized by fallout for me... dunno why...

i used the old free 1.4x version but have by now upgraded to the new versions which are free btw... there are 2 which are for sale but the simple "dtools light" works just fine for anything i encountered so far and is free...

just be happy people stopped using starforce lol... that crap really killed me a sony cd recorder...

true true... fits quite well to the "what to do against high sea piracy" thread ;)

its quite similiar... just good legit users dont cry out to execute ilegit downloaders yet because they cause them to suffer under securom lol... but its prolly just a question of time until the corporatemedia has turned them into the "for blood screaming crowd" they are in regards to real life events yet...

yeah so i just reinstalled fresh Fallout3, with no emulation software on the pc at all... and still, Fallout3.exe will not launch (it just instantly closes the application), also, Fallout3Launcher still says 'the app is installed incorrectly and must be reinstalled'

im almost ready to go postal here this is really silly. I paid for this damn game. I BOUGHT THE SPECIAL EDITION PRE-ORDER in the lunchbox for craps sake!!!!

Just a thought have you tried manually downloading the patch straight from the fallout site or here even and patching it manually rather than the auto version ? the same thing can be done with the Games for Windows Live there is a standalone version that updates to version 2

Have they? That's good news, although I've always considered SecuROM = StarForce jr.

NEC DVD burner here. Never bought another StarForce protected product since, no matter how badly I wanted to play the game.
