XuberAnt
Hi all, I haven't used vortex for a few years, and just fired it up again. It's updated to the latest version, and it still has my old mods added. I deleted them for the sake of starting fresh, and went to nexus to pick out a few mods. I choose to download using vortex, and once the countdown finishes, vortex opens up and is selected, but nothing actually happens. No file appears under downloads, and no mod appears in the list for the game in question... I figured it might be a problem with permissions, so I tried to run it as administrator, but a popup came up saying that was NOT a good idea, so now I don't know what else to do... Pickysaurus
Make sure you have the latest Vortex installed. There are some general tips here: https://modding.wiki/en/vortex/users/download-from-nexusmods Most of the time when this kind of thing happens it's an issue with the browser config or an extension corrupting the link that gets sent to Vortex. XuberAnt
My vortex version is 1.5.13.My firefox settings has .nxm files set to be managed by vortex. I've been able to download mods manually and then installing them through vortex from file, but these do not seem to make it into the game itself, despite being enabled in Vortex, and they seem to have a permanent ( can be updated, new version: ? ) that makes no real sense to me. Thank you Picky, but I'm afraid I'm no closer to a solution...
Pickysaurus
If they don't make it to the game, it likely means you haven't deployed. Check the bell icon in Vortex for any warnings too. In terms of downloading, I'd say try another browser. Firefox (and other Mozilla browsers) tend to be problematic.
Zerog58
Same issue, wont work on Firefox even when its set to have vortex handle the nxm files.
