zebbe
Hi. I'm very new to this forum. I know the command "Getdeadcount, "npc's name"", but what I really wanna know is how do I change someones dead/alive status? i.e. if I killed mistress Therana, and saved, I could placeheratpc, but the game (meaning other npc's) would still think she's dead. Anyway to change this? To change their deadcount? zebbe.
Peregrine
You'd need to know all the references to that NPC (guess what you've got a construction set for), but if you can find them and manually change them back to the "alive" state, you should be able to fix it. Only, I don't know how to do that. :( Any help? Let's take Divayth Fyr to make it a nice example. This has nothing to do with the MQ, I was just trying to disintegrate his armor and then accidently saved.
Abramul
If there's a get(whatever) command, isn't there normally also set(whatever)? I know that's the case for stats, position, and the like. EDIT: If your problem is that Fyr wants to kill you (and he probably can!) then open console, click on him, and type "stopcombat". (might be attack, rather than combat)
Chaosmaker
Check gamewinners.com they have a code for that under morrowind.

I can setfight0, stopcombat etc. but this won't change the situation the next time I speak with the daughters :(
Malchik
The problem is not with the daughters - they are incidental - but with the last living dwarf and Fyr himself. (Preventing completion of the MQ via the 'back route' too). I can also say, through experience, that the 'resurrect' command will not work. Have you tried using a calm humanoid spell, getting their dispositions to 100 using bug musk, bribery and the helm of Clavicus Vile? It works on Fyr himself so I imagine it should on his daughters etc. How far back was your last autosave? People sometimes forget that is often not long before their most recent save. No matter what I do with the girls, they attack me next time I speak with 'em. So, what I'm looking for is some kinda console command that will make the game think he's still alive, or something like that.
zebbe
I think I may have found a solution, it was a total accident thoguh. I have no save before the killing of Fyr, I'm sure. I tried to replace the daughters with a copy (placeatpc and disable the original one) which seems very logical since Fyr also seems calm when he reenters the game as a copy, but it didn't work! However, I found out something very unusual. I have a save where I still have the original dead body lying on the floor, and the copy (theplacedatpc) standing right next to him. If I do nothing the daughters will attack. If I disable the copy and resurrect (and reset his position) the original body the daughters will attack. But if I resurrect the original, reset actors (all as I did before) but this time open the console, select the copy and type "sethealt 0", and thereafter disable his body they will NOT attack me! Isn't this strange? Any explanation? zebbe.
