trueandsmooth
Just as the title says, I have incured epic ctd on all fronts again. I had a bad case of ctd to begin with, well more annoying then anything; would get about half an hour/45 mins intervals of play before some ctd. So after a long session of wastelanding yesterday, a few ctd here and there I started walked towards the deathclaw sanctuary, then the ctd started becoming more common, being stubborn, I stuck with it, then right near the sanctuary entrance, the antenna on top, and surrounding area it just started ctding like mad. Every 1 min mad. Now even if I set the graphics to low, it still CTD after 1 min of play. There was a point where I couldnt even save, or fast travel as that would cause ctd. And also, before and after the epic ctd, I hadnt changed anything, no change to my pc, no change to the game files, no uncheaking mods in fomm. Current load order: fallout3.esmmmm.esmcalibr.esmfook.esmfook.espfook - enclave commander.espfook - play after mq.espfook - testcontainer.espwmk.espmmm - fook.espwmk - fook.espslower leveling.espscrapyard.espbethesda defence.espenclave commander 75.espdepth of field.espbullet time.espmmm.espsprint mod.espmmm - increased increased spawns.espmmm - hunting & looting.espmmm - toughertraders.espmmm - zone respawns.espmmm - no floaters.esp
TGBlank
change increased increased spawns for increased spawns, remove fook-enclave commander and enclave commander, get the latest enclave commander and the fook enclave commander from myfook, making sure you load enclave commander before fook.Upgrade to the latest fook, wmk and MMM if you haven't done so.Get the latest foip package for WMK and use the newest wmk - fook from there.Get the latest foip package for MMM and take the mmm - fook from there, then put it at the end of your load order.Remove depth of field, load an earlier save, kill yourself with a grenade, then load the sanctuary one. If that doesn't work, load a pre-wasteland-before-going-to-sanctuary and try again. Also remove the test container if you already got what you wanted from it. trueandsmooth
Have tryed everything above, still getting ctd. One variable I have been pondering over is the fact then when I was digging through the test container, I just dropped the stuff on the ground I didnt want. After I took the container out, the stuff was still there, and every now and then, when in the area of 101, I see the items just floating in random places, not moving around, just stuck in the sky and well just random places. Contributing to the ctd maby? probably.. Tho before all that happened, I would still get random ctd, soo hmmm basically.. I also get a random screen tearing thing every now and then. Seems to happen with other games aswell; empire total war & cod world at war being the main offenders. Turing the graphics down on the games only seems to make the tearing less frequent, Im tempted to pick up a new graphics card, swap out my 8800 gs for a radeon hd 1tb. Deleted1084753User
What sort of settings do you use? And what hardware? Only ask because I had frequent ctds on my old rig running at 1280x800 and low details, evidently because my hardware at the time was barely enough to cope with the game. Since I upgraded to my new quad-core based rig I haven't actually had any ctds (other than ones caused by things like mods). The screen tearing is fixed by using vertical sync so the game stays sync'd with your monitor refresh. If it's off in your graphics card settings the game won't use it even if the checkbox is selected. Funny really, I don't get tearing at all on my 60Hz 22" monitor with this game, but when I tried Last Remnant the screen was almost two seperate entities the tearing was so bad heh. trueandsmooth
I play with either low or high graphic settings depending on how fussy the game is being. As for hardware; 2.6 core2 duo 8200, 4 gig ram, 1tb hd, (with about 30gig free atm haha) gigabyte somthing mobo that bsod when you attempt to overclock it :s and my wee 8800 gs 300 somthing of ram. And I dont auctually think what I was getting was screen tearing, auctually its somewhat unexplainable, like the screen goes checkered, and in each square contains an opposite of the next containig the image on the screen just all messed up. Ill try and grab a print screen next time it occures and link it here. Besides annoying ctd every 20 mins, anytime I go near the deathclaw sanctuary, west of that area or north of that area, epic ctd once again sets in even with the above changes tg suggested, even on low graphics. ..Not wanting to clutter the forum further with my noober questions, theres another thing on my mind I might as well spill here - I'm currently hunting around for some 8mm du, I'm lvl 12 and cant find it anywhere! g11 2k is my baby and I dont even have any ammo for it :( any suggestions for its location? And shurly there shoulda been some in the test containter?
