hoofhearted4
So my dad owns a Trucking Business. as of this passed year Ive been doing all his paperwork. Expenses, Payroll, etc. All year it was just him and another driver. I was able to do all of the weekly paper work on one day and be done. as of this passed month, hes hired two more drivers, so 4 total drivers. Every week on that day, i take the information from his Daily Planner which has where the drivers went, where they are going, and whom for. Ive been lucky in that hes been home these passed weeks (he only had 3 trucks, so he stayed home to make his truck available) so i was just able to look in the planner and write down all the info on the white board in our office. but now hes looking into getting a 4th truck and soon hell be back out on the road. with 4 drivers on the road, ill need to keep that board updated daily instead of weekly. which means id have to call him every day and get the information for him and his 3 other drivers. information which includes Load Numbers, Cities, etc. so what i was looking into was to see if there was an App or something that would let him write this information down in a daily planner on his phone (instead of a physical copy, or in conjunction with, whatever he preferred), that would automatically link up with my phone. so instead of having to call him, i could just open the app, and see what his planner says. I was looking into Apps, but i was also looking into Google Drive. We already have GD on our computers at home, and on our phones, but i didnt see a way to keep a planner on there. so does this sort of App exist? if not, what are some other possible solutions we could try? If it means anything, he has a Galaxy Note II and it would be ideal if the app let him use the stylus with his phone to write, instead of having him text it, but that would be a bonus not a necessity, and i have a crappy LG Optimus something or other haha. but both touch/smart phones. if nothing on the phone would work, is there like a PDA option we could take? any sort of option? tablets, etc? thanks all for any insight you may have to this issue. JimboUK
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.intersog.android.schedule&hl=en This sort of thing? it does export to Dropbox so should be accessible on just about anything.
