greenhorn001
Hello. I don't know if I'm in the right place, but I have no idea what to do. I've done something wrong. I think I might have installed a mod or did something that screwed up Mass Effect 3 on my computer. Now it won't start. The launcher is fine for all three, only when I tried to start a new game with Mass Effect 3 Legendary, it crashes. I'm doing everything to figure out whats wrong, but I have no idea. It ran just fine and now it just won't start up. Can someone help me figure out the issue? I've had to re install the game several times, but I think its the texture mod from my Mass Effect Modder that might be corrupting the texture files on ME3 Legendary. Is there a way to repair it or repairing ME3? Please let me know. This is going to drive me crazy for awhile. Ben
Pickysaurus
Mass Effect 3 isn't a game that Vortex manages. However, if it's not starting a good first steam is to verify your install with Steam/Origin.
greenhorn001
I've been doing that five times now. For the past five hours. It still won't start a new game. Repair won't work. Also, what does it mean when it says Return game to Vanilla state and reinstall dlc/files? From the Mass Effect Modder. I'm trying to figure out how I can do this. Pickysaurus
Maybe try uninstalling the game, then deleting the game install folder and any leftover files. That way you can do a full, fresh install.
greenhorn001
It worked. Once I've uninstalled the entire game again, I deleted the folders as stated including the MEModder folders, all the mods attached to it and the trilogy save editor. It fixed it, whatever the reason for it not working. So since its working, maybe its best if I try to backup the games first before installing any mods, right? I think I'm gonna backup ME3 just in case... Thanks for the help!
