UnholyShadow
About a week ago I got Verizon Wireless internet with a 5 gigabyte data cap. I have downloaded probably about 4 gigabytes of stuff since that I have been wanting to download for ages. Last night I checked the data usage, and it said 5.5 gigabytes have been used. This morning I checked it and it said the same thing. About 20 minutes ago I checked it and it said I have used 5.75 gigabytes have been used, even though I have had nothing running on my comp and have been at school all day. Does anyone know why this would happen?
Thor.
That sucks that your ISP has a crappy cap, but i love my service check it out, they don't cap or anything, not to mention fast to. I think this might be an option for you, they are state side as well. If your in the states that is. http://www2.cia.com/ it also depends on where you are as well. Verizon i think only is in the states and canada. ah your from Virginia that makes since.
Dark0ne
Check your router to ensure you have proper security set up and there are no other attached devices leeching off your connection. If you're using bittorrent remember that your upstream counts just as much as your downstream; so uploading adds to your cap.
