Regular CTDs

I haven't installed anything new, just updated a few mods (Sim Settlements 2). Couldn't remember where I had them in the load order so I used LOOT. Seem to be having pretty regular CTDs now, assuming its something wrong the with the load order now. Any help would be much appreciated!

I can personally confirm that making significant changes to your LO can lead to CTD.

In my particular case, I decided that I was gonna go through and alphabetize the mods, in their categories.

Two months later, and severe frustration (Some of them actually caused the laptop to reboot!) I used some of my backup files, and POOF the problem up and vanished. (Backed up save games, and backed up Plugins.txt file)

 

I dunno if loot creates backups of your files or not.

I hope that it does. Or that you're like me, and backup all of your game files.

Otherwise... I'm very sorry to say... you've probly lost all the characters that you have saves of. :sad:

disable sim settlements and compare the number of ctd. for me it was an eye opener. in some cases like for me no more ctd may occur.
