Vindekarr
At the risk of sound overly cynical, but why support this game? Why it and not one of the literally hundreds of similar MMOs coming from equally tiny development teams on Kickstarter and IGG? The IGG page has dozens of links to Support it, and a lot of information as to what you'd allegedly get if you did, but there's very, very little information about the game itself, and virtually none about the developers, and that makes me suspicious, especially given Indiegogo's severely tarnished reputation in Australia as an unregulated haven for scammers and criminals. If you're really serious about this game, convince me. I'm cynical, but open-minded. Edited November 4, 2013 by Vindekarr
hoofhearted4
yea, not gunna lie, ive heard bad things about IGG on the web, idk how much is true, or just kickstarter fanboys being against it, but i dont support things on IGG personally. Vagrant0
The problem with every single indie developer turning to crowdfunding is that every single indie developer is doing it. There's little accountability involved, few requirements, and unfortunately most of the money usually does not go to the developer. I mean, really... The fact that you have watered down westernized imitation anime porn games made in game maker (or other simplified game making engines) appearing on those sites these days should give you a hint that nobody is really pre-screening project pages. Vindekarr
Exactly Vagrant. IGG has a truly aweful reputation in Australia for scams, with mainly Romanian and Russian posters stealing images and concept art from various sources and then posting on IGG claiming that they're making a video game. Sadly, it works, and IGG has a vested interest in it continuing to work. During a recent TV interview, IGG's founder claimed the company's "founding principles"(read: profits) would be threatened if they ever started imposing rules on what can or can't be posted. Based on the arrogance, naivety, and lack of corporate responsibility it's founder showed under interview, I wouldn't trust anything on IGG. Let alone a game with literally almost no information about it or it's developers(who I've not been able to find any mention of anywhere else on the net) coming from a country with such a morbidly high rate of cyber-crime as Russia. Harsh? yes. But based on experience: a very substantial part of all cyber-crime in Australia is based in Russia or Romania.
