Sideways doors to use as window shutters?

Or maybe just shutters for real?

 

Lack of good glass + radstorms/radrain means you need to close off the house at times.

 

I tried using Place Everywhere to rotate the doors, but they freak out when you try it.

Would this just be aesthetic? If so, you could probably use curio cabinet doors to make visually functional shutters.
