Please someone, make a mod that retextures those nasty looking Buffalo Gourd plants that grow in the cracks in the road. They are so gross looking when I play and it pisses me off that they look that bad.

So one advantage of living on the Mojave boarder is I get to see a lot of the wildlife in the game (although, as of yet, no bipedal giant geckos, giant mantises etc.). I snapped this on a trail run;

I don't see too many out there with winter and all, but I may have some higher res pics on the PC somewhere. Maybe I can put together a new texture for you. Is it the gourds, the leaves or the whole thing, that bug you?

I know I'm not the OP, but in my opinion its the dead buffalo gourd plants that need a high-def retexture the most. They have such a flat, solid color that really clashes with the rough texture of the roads and surrounding dust/dirt, especially if you've replaced the dirt textures with something a bit brighter.

 

Perhaps something with a bit more color variation and texture throughout the, well, texture? Some brown splotches on dead leaves, such as we see in the foreground of the pic you posted? (Very cool, btw!)

It's the leaves mostly. The gourds look okay. Its just when you're walking around (especially if you're using NMC's texture pack) and everything looks pretty good except for these giant cartooney yellow-green sons of bitches pops out and kills the mood. Really If they were just a darker color and more detail that would be fine.
