Deleted82427968User
How do I install NV through steam so I can run the bsa decompressor? You can't install the game through Program Files x86 so I try to change the install directory to somewhere else but steam says something like "steam already has library folder it will manage multiple files for you" I already tried copying my NV folder to my Documents folder and ran the BSA and it worked at first but after quitting the game and going back in the game had red triangles. I am getting so fed up with this as no one has given me the right answer. Treat me like a child if you have to but what in the heck am I doing wrong? I only have 1 ssd if that even matters. showler
If you literally only have one SSD, then you have two choices. Use Windows to split the one physical drive into two drives, then install your games on the second drive. or Reinstall Steam in a new directory outside of the Program Files directory. Deleted82427968User
Ok so what directory should I choose? Is "Users" safe? Will I need to redownload NV?
showler
Just create a new directory, don't use any of the standard Windows ones. If you are reinstalling Steam, copy your NV directory somewhere else first. Then delete the game from Steam. Once you have Steam reinstalled you can move that directory to the new "Steamapps/common" directory. Then when you reinstall NV it will just verify the files rather than re-download them.
