Fallout 3 Las Vegas

So Fallout 3 Vegas has finally been announced, an its not being done by Bethesda supprisingly enough. Its being done by Obsidian, the makers of Starwars Knights of the Old Republic and Never Winter Knights. So these guys know what it takes to make a good story. But their way of handling combat is more of a point and click format.

The only thing they have going for them is the fact that they have some original Black Isle Members.

So my question out there is:

1. Do you think finally sin is in? Bethesda was more on the censored side when making the game, no drug addicts running around. No ballant acts of irresponsibilty (selling your wife to the sex trade and making money, placing adrenaline in a guy with heart problems to kill him off, etc. etc.)

2. Do you think they will screw it up?

3. What do you expect new in Fallout 3 Vegas?

Personally, I am scared, since they aren't known for their FPS.

But I am hoping they take their ideas from our great modding community and inncorporate all the best mods. Since its popular by the public, obviously the public would like to see it. I hope the enviroment to be a little more alive, like in S.T.A.L.K.E.R where you see wandering soldiers, not those that materialize out of no where just for the satisfaction of wanting to kill you.

Since its in Vegas, hopefully their will be gambling drugs, sex, and random acts of vilence of the Mob.

Um, just so you know, Obsidian is made up of the disbanded Black Isle. In other words, the people working on Fallout: New Vegas (Not Fallout 3 Vegas, as you said) are the people who made Fallout and Fallout 2... well some of them anyway. Honestly, you have nothing to worry about. the title will kick a$$, especially because it's being published by Bethesda and will use the same exact engine as Fallout 3. Honestly, I'd rather see a new Fallout that uses the old engine, with this gen style graphics... or in other words a modern Van Buren... but what can ya do?

I think it would be better if it was a big expansion for Fallout 3, since making a new game means that the community will move on and give up the making of bigger mods, like the remake of all the places from Fo1 and 2.

1. I sincerely hope Obsidian will eradicate the feeble attempts at censoring. Beth's attempts to make Fo3 suitable for a wider audience were quite annoying. It's rated M anyway, so why hold back on the maturity (although not so much as to render it Adults Only)?

2. No, I don't think Obsidian would botch up this particular game, although I am somewhat apprehensive about the FPS elements...

3. I think it's too early to anticipate new elements in Vegas. However, I think Obsidian will make a game more similar to the previous Fallouts.

Making another game with the old engine used for Fo1 and Fo2 isn't appealing, as it would look incredibly aged still, due to engine limitations.

It is indeed called "Fallout Vegas" not "Fallout 3: Vegas". From what I've read, they haven't even confirmed that it will even be running on the same Fallout 3 engine. Reguardless of whatever they use, I'm looking forward to it. They have alot of experience when it comes to RPGs, so my hopes are high

With E3 around the corner, it's probably a little too early to see anything about it. With thier "2010" release date though, chances are they'll be using an engine they're already familiar with (if it's the same FO3 engine or not)

I wouldn't mind a point and click game so some people could see just where fallout 3 came from.

"You see plastic case with fallout: new vegas"

"it seems to be a good game... now if only you could find a computer to play it on"
