dhowey3
I normally start Steam by itself from Win10 toolbar, shift to offline mode, and start Skyrim from Vortex. I recently started to use the tools page to start Steam for convenience. Is there a command line command that will take me directly to the Steam offline mode? I incorrectly identified the Dashboard as tools page. The dashboard does say tools in the upper left corner. Sorry for the confusion.
Pickysaurus
Looks like the parameter "-offline" does what you need?
dhowey3
No, it doesn't work through the dashboard, even with variations. Thanks! I just happened to find a command line listing this morning that didn't show up before. There appears to be no command to do this unless the descriptions are not obvious. Sure would be nice to save a couple of steps. Offline mode seems to help limit unwanted updates. <<https://developer.valvesoftware.com/wiki/Command_Line_Options#Command-Line_Parameters_7>> BTW, did you have a reference for your suggestion? Pickysaurus
I just Google'd your problem and picked the first result... https://appuals.com/how-to-start-steam-in-offline-mode/
dhowey3
Thanks, for the reference. I got it to work as a shortcut just as suggested. For some reason, your Google works better than my google. Now to Vortex. I'll let you know. Offline sets a two week timer. I wonder how than might effect me?
