Quicksave and Autosave

I am sure that when I first played Skyrim, when you hit quicksave the gave saved over your last quicksave. Similarily, it only kept the last 3 or 4 auto saves, over saving each one in turn. That is now not the case it seems.

 

In this age with a SSD drive of more limited capacity I find my SSE saves folder is totally full of auto saves and quicksaves.

 

Is there a setting or mod to stop this massive duplication as it actually is starting to affect my drive capacity.

 

Ideally I want my quicksave to over save the last quicksave in this character, and only keep 3-4 auto saves.

You probably have a mod that changes quicksaves and autosaves to normal saves, since those are mostly considered to be more stable.

 

Finding that mod and changing the settings is probably your best option.
