Negatentra
Hello. I'm having an issue in vortex that I've found No information on and have no idea what's causing it. A few day's ago my computer was suffered a crash and was having a problem with an audio notification that wouldn't stop. I tried several steps to fix it, including rolling it back (roughly 3 days) and nothing worked. In the end, I took the computer in, had it fixed, and got it back a few days later. Now, for whatever reason. When I try to load vortex, I get several notification's of games that have extension's that haven't loaded. I've added the Screenshot's of both the games and the error in question. I've already attempted Re-installing vortex, but that doesn't help. I haven't tried re-installing a game yet, but I feel like that would be pointless since several of the 31 games listed aren't even games I Own. So I have no idea what to do or what causing this. The error even say's "Check the installation instructions" but...there are no installation instruction's. I'm using the most current Version: 1.6.12. Any help would be appreciated. jaydawg55
Did you have the extensions for those games installed at some point? What happens when you select a game to manage (that you already have installed)? Does Vortex load up that game? Can you view any mods in the Mods tab on the side menu? Pickysaurus
The "More" prompt on each error will give you insight into why it happened. RE Engine Wrapper can be installed from here: https://www.nexusmods.com/site/mods/
Negatentra
I Fixed It! Okay, so what was happening (I think) was the extension's in question weren't loading on the right disk. I thought all the error's were about the last one (RE Engine Wrapper), but clicking on "More" on an individual one showed the "Info.jsaon" files didn't exist. This confused me, but then I went to the extension's page and double checked. And wouldn't ya know it, I scrolled all the way to the Bottom, and there were a Ton of Removable game files that I didn't notice because they were all Copy's of the games at the Top. I think the Rollback I did must have caused some kind of duplication error, or something was lost in the transition. Anyway, the answer was simple. clicked removed on each of the files, did a restart and Boom! No more error's. Thank Goodness. Thanks for the help Pickysaurus, sometimes the simple answer's always elude us when were overthinking or focusing on 1 thing.
