Perfect world anybody plays?

I haven't played in awhile, but yes I have a Perfect World account. I'm currently factionless at the moment and plan to stay that way for awhile until I've gained more experience in the game.

I'd say that it's usually a good idea to start looking for a small faction sometime around level 26 or so, if only to help with some of the bosses and quests that require other help. Once you start getting into levels 38+, you'll almost certainly need a faction to help you with the many bosses that you have to kill for cultivation, or other quests, since finding capable help can be rather hard to do unless you have alot of friends with factions or get lucky. This remains an issue until around level 90, where bosses are either being killed for loot, or you are not in any immediate need of getting them done since levels can take weeks of effort.

Some of my best and worst times were spent when in a faction. It allowed me to socialize with other players, and learn various tricks to the game that I might not have otherwise been aware of. I found that being factionless was usually rather boring since you have nobody to talk to while grinding. And, being in a faction, even a bad one, still manages to accomplish getting faction invites every time you pass through Archosaur. Just try not to get too caught up in the e-drama, it's just a friggin game. But is a reason why you probably shouldn't join a faction that has people in it you know from other places.

Good tips there. Thanks! At the moment I think my highest level character is level 22. I did have a level 32 character on another server but started over when I realized it was the PK server and I kept getting mugged while trying to do quests.

I just started playing it earlier this week and i'm having a lot of fun with it. I've never played an online game before so it's a lot different than what i'm used to.

Yep, happened with a few factions I was with. Either people lose interest, move to other servers, or just end up leaving because they don't want to deal with any supposed e-drama. But, you're director, so you could always just take an hour or so a day, and try to recruit people. It's when you're a low rank in a really dead faction that you end up having no choice other than leaving.

You can certainly try to make friends with people in other factions for help with quests/bosses, but the help is less likely, and you may be called on to repay the favor, so is not always something people are looking for.
