What part of you can choose to not filter them do you not understand?

 

You're just as bad as the right wing extremists. You hate everything that is different from you. It sounds like you have a little bit of repressed hatred. Could it be because you can't keep yourself from looking at such images and you hate anyone who can?

Sexlivion is not hosted on this site, only an esp file for translation from the original. I have removed it several times, not because it is pornographic as you say, but because there are no permissions from the original creators allowing redistribution.

 

The adult filters are set, on both those files, and are fully functional for the file pages.

 

You really have a problem, if you choose to view adult material you have nothing to complain about with the present options available.

 

Further you have a choice what to click on and what you don't, that choice is yours alone and we are not responsible for what you choose to look at. If you are offended by your choices, perhaps you should make better choices.

 

On the images on file pages that are tagged adult, they are only accessible from the file page as the files are tagged as adult, unless someone broke the rules and posted them directly in the forums/file comments in which case some action may be in order.

 

I have stated this before and tire of repeating myself. So if you are that offended please feel free to go elsewhere.

I'm not necessarily offended by adult content, whether it be mods or images, but I have to say it is a bit disappointing that when I check the image share section in the morning and there is a whole new crop of the same old thing. All you ever really see is pic after pic of scantily clad or nude characters. Granted I can understand being proud of your character, but really, isn't there anything better to take screenshots of than your latest elven tart?

 

While I don't have a problem with the suggestion of moving explicit stuff into a separate section, I am one who likes things the way they are now and am fine with it.

 

If I don't want to look at something, I don't click the link. It's simple for me. I can't think of one time that something was shoved in my face I didn't want to see. Maybe because if I happen to click on something I don't care for, I just go "Ooopppss, my bad." And move on. If I see something while searching that isn't to my liking, I pass it by without a thought. Same for threads with "hot elf tarts" LOL! I don't HAVE to look. Hence, I don't HAVE to be offended or upset or whatever.

 

I have the power to choose and so does everyone else. Kind of like turning the channel when you don't like what you see on TV *shrugs*.

I don't even bother looking at the images any more for just that reason. Endless skanky anime-style dolls all doing exactly the same things and almost wearing the same bikinis. Hardly any landscape pics, or good action shots.

 

And yes. Some of us are adult enough to make our own minds up what to look at and what to pass by. I like things just as they are, giving me a full choice of things to fill my game with. This is a single-player game. We can mod it up any way we like. I know I do.

I wouldn't call it puritanism, at least, not as far as I'm concerned. Like I said, I don't have a problem with nudity or porno. I actually quite like them, lol, just in private. I also know how to use the filters and do, but the problem is like I stated before, when you use the filter, the non-adult images are far-far-far outweighed by the adult images. Now, far be it from me to tell anybody what they can or can't do, I'm just disappointed that people are choosing to do the same thing over and over. It's like we've gotten on a runaway train taken over by the freaky sex-monkeys or something. All I'm saying is I'm saddened by the lack of creativity in this place, the creativity that a game such as Oblivion and a community such as TESNexus has the has the potential to engender. We are not making the best use of what we have been given in my point of view.

 

The problem is the people, not the site. Dark One, LHammonds, Buddah, AlienSlof and BBen are all working their butts off keeping this site in tip top, but they need the help of the community for the changes and implemented suggestions to be truely effective, and we would do well to remember that you can please some of the people all of the time and all of the people some of the time, but you can never please all the people all the time.

 

So, make the best use of what you've been given, whether it's a filter to block out the images and mods that you don't care to see, or the inherent creativity of this website and the game it's dedicated to, that's all I'm saying.

 

Edit: It should be noted that I am not talking about everyone lacking creativity, there are quite a few of you around here that do have quite a talent for screen shooting and posting some wonderful images. Unfortunately, in my estimation, you are the true minority.

The site works fine as is. Use the filters, and report those files that aren't tagged correctly. Its as simple as that.

If you're an adult, get over it. You have a penis and/or a *censored*. Seeing digitized renditions of them won't make you sterile. If you have kids, it won't scar them for life.

 

Like so many other things in life, I find this arguement incredibly hypocritical because it's design is to get OTHER people to change, worry about your own life, and if you don't like something don't look at it. Trying to force someone to change is the moral equivalent of putting a gun to someone's head ( read Heinlien's "Definition of Force" essay, if you can't grasp that concept.
