Video Cards

Recommended Posts

i have a new mobo that has an integrated ATI 3400series

and i have an old pcixpress2.0 3450 (not that old)

so two 3450's in hybrid crossfire,should work better than 1 4650 ?

ATi provide much better bang for your buck at the moment. My 8800GTS burnt out a few months back and I got a 4870 for about £120 on a week-only deal. It was a snatch at the time for a card competing in the 265 GTX - 285 GTX range. WIth the 295's ridiculously priced at the time I'm just waiting for the next range of cards to come out before I invest in something more heavy.

I wouldn't say that ati is better then invidia. Since i have tested them both through my clients and they are both are equal in speed and reliability. The nvidia drivers are ok, they do the job and thats all that matters.

Price ranges are not as much a problem to, like my 2 9800gtx's+ can run Fallout 3 maxed out and then some for a low, low price of 200$ now. Not to mention in 1080P.

One ATI 4650 would be better since most game arnt optimised for crossfire or SLI, only a hand full of games will run better, i strongly recomend the single 4650 and in the future get a 2nd 4650 when the latest game are optimised for duel video cards
