Dimitrisgb
I 've been facing difficulties installing properly the CSE. All I read in the readme document is that I have to move all "the contents of the archive into the root game directory". Nothing to install, according to the instructions.Yet when I try to launch the CSE, nothing happens. Any idea what I am missing?
DrakeTheDragon
How do you launch the CSE exactly?Back in my times it was still putting a DLL into the OBSE plugins folder and then launching regular CS "through" OBSE ("obse_loader.exe -editor").Nowadays there's multiple different means. And OBSE still has logging, even if it's during launching CSE. I think it might be different file names between game and editor, but it's basically the same logging process for debugging launch errors and the like. As you're basically launching the OBSE Loader, which then launches the CS with OBSE plugins inserted into memory likewise to when launching the game, OBSE log files should be the first to check. RomanR
If you truly copied all files to Oblivion's root directory, where Oblivion.exe resides, it should work. But there are also other components, which this extender needs - namely Net Framework 4.0 and Visual C++ Redist libraries (2010 and 2017, both 32-bit}. Best to download them from Microsoft web. Also for safety reasons the extender will not start, if it detects some DirectX library replacements, which other mods can use (for example Oblivion Reloaded or ENB) - but manual also says how to change this behavior. For more read its PDF manual located in Data/Docs/Construction Set Extender directory.
Dimitrisgb
I managed to make it work. All I had to do was copy some files that were not mentioned in the readme file.
