LFact
You may try Universal Extractor. However, I'm not sure if it works for FO3 patch.
Aahzmandias
I would like to be able to extract the Fallout3.exe from the 1.4 patch. Dose anyone have an idea about how I can go about doing that? I used the "other" method. I installed Fallout again. After patching to 1.406 I copied that fallout3.exe, and patched to 1.5 Then I renamed version 1.5 to Fallout3_crap.exe. And the copied 1.4 exe to Fallout3.exe. Now I have two exe to play the game with. As far as I can see 1.406 works with the data from 1.5. And the save game from 1.5 could be loaded without any comment in 1.406. I do not know if BS DLC will work, because I only buy it, if the problems with 1.5 are fixed. The modificatins that I play are FAR more important than 5 hours additional game play. But thats only my oppinion. This took me 1 hour. Oh, and dont forget to install all tecture-packs anew. At least overwrite the tectures again.
trepanater
Universal Extractor dose not work unfortunately. Also I had a copy of the 1.1 exe but it would not update the exe when I tried to use the 1.4 update. It was very frustrating to say the least, for I was looking for another method to downgrading besides having to reinstall from the ground up. It looks as tho it would have been much faster to have just reinstalled in the first place. Thanks Bethesda for your crap updates that break almost every mod around.
